Cassiana Fernandez has been the Head of Economic Research for Latin America at J.P. Morgan since March 2023 and the Chief Economist for Brazil since 2014. She joined the firm in 2011, after 13 years in a multi-strategy fund, at BNDES, and in a consulting company. Cassiana graduated from the University of São Paulo (USP) and holds a master's degree from PUC in Rio de Janeiro. She has also been a professor of undergraduate Brazilian economics at PUC.
